Church of Sant'Andrea and bell tower with clock museum - Palazzo Grassi - the houses of the Palazzo Morosini - small square Vigo - the church of San Domenico

Along the Corso del Popolo we come to the church of Sant'Andrea and the bell-tower with the particular "vertically museum of the clock”. By crossing the bridge "Caneva", along the Riva Vena, it arrives at the prestigious Palazzo Grassi , crossing just before the characteristic chimneys of the lodges of Palazzo Morosini.  Further on along the canal-side we come to the majestic Ponte di Vigo – The Vigo Bridge and, by passing through it, in the Piazzetta Vigo where you can observe the column with the Marciano Lion, the symbol of Chioggia.

The visit to this area it is concluded in a place of worship very dear to the seamanship chioggiotta, the church of San Domenico on the homonymous island, which is reached by going toward the east  Calle Santa Croce.

In the church of St. Andrea:

• The marble altar-piece of the baptistery, attributed to the Sansovino, or to the workshop of the Lombardo or Lorenzo Bregno

• The frescoes in the apse, the dome, the transept and the chapel of the Blessed Sacrament and those of the ceiling of the nave (1912- 1927) of Giuseppe Cherubini

• The Chapel of the Sacred Sacrements

In Romanesque bell tower:

• The tower clock more ancient of the world, still in working order from 1389

In the Church of St. Domenico:

• The wooden sculpture of Christ (4.87 x 3.70 m. 180 Kg.) dating to the mid XIV century

• The canvas of the St Paul stigmatized, the last work signed by Vittore Carpaccio (1520)

• The cycle of life and miracles of San Domenico by Pietro Damini (1617- 1624)

• The canvas Jesus crucifix appears to St. Thomas Aquinus, attributed to Jacopo Tintoretto (second half XVI cent.)

• The canvas of the Deposition of Christ and Saints by Leandro Bassano (1599)
